Koch Ag & Energy Solutions is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable technology solutions that support critical middle-office capabilities, including applications for trading operations, data integrity, and operational controls.
You will influence the architecture and evolution of systems that support trading operations while delivering practical improvements to data quality, operational control, and platform reliability. The role offers broad exposure to technical and business challenges and the opportunity to shape long-term platform direction through meaningful, measurable contributions.
Our Team
This individual will partner with business stakeholders, build modern, cloud-native applications, and apply software engineering fundamentals and product thinking to translate complex requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions that create measurable business value.
This role is based in our London, UK office.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications that support middle-office functions and trading business processes.
- Partner with business stakeholders and analysts to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Develop cloud-native applications and services using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and modern architecture patterns.
- Contribute to system design, data models, application programming interfaces (APIs), and integration patterns across the application landscape.
- Deliver reliable, maintainable software through automated testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), shared engineering standards, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support and enhance existing platforms while driving modernization, simplification, and reliable system operation.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 5+ years of experience delivering production software applications across backend and frontend technologies.
- Experience developing backend services using at least one modern language or framework such as Node.js, Python, or C#/.NET.
- Experience building user interfaces using a modern frontend framework such as React or Angular.
- Experience working with relational databases, SQL, RESTful APIs, and complex data models.
- Experience using source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile development practices.
- Experience building and deploying applications in a public cloud environment.
- Experience using modern development tools to improve code quality, testing, documentation, or delivery efficiency.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience building and deploying applications in AWS.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, or software delivery outcomes while adhering to security and data-handling requirements.
- Experience evaluating and adopting emerging technologies to solve business problems and improve operational outcomes.
- Ability to connect engineering decisions to operational needs and measurable business value.
- Demonstrated ownership of outcomes, including identifying risks early and driving work through delivery and support.
- Experience working effectively in ambiguous environments and making pragmatic technical trade-offs.
- Experience designing simple, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
- Continuous learner who applies new technologies and development practices in a practical, value-driven manner.
