Software Engineer: Network and Cyber Tools, Methods and Technologies – Rome, NY

Job Highlights:

Securboration is seeking a Software Engineer to perform network and cyber tools research and development. The successful candidate will apply knowledge of the network and cyber tools, methods and technologies in the research, development and application of leading-edge solutions for the DoD.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Possesses knowledge of common network cyber vulnerabilities, counter measures and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with software development, enhancement, and maintenance of network and cyber tools.
  • Technical experience across all lifecycle phases from requirements analysis, engineering implementation, and deployment using Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, Linux/Windows, Web applications, ELK desired
  • Ability to effectively present technical information to reviewers in oral and written formats.
  • Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Self-starter, responsible for entire projects or processes within assigned technical area.

Education:

BS or MS in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering.

Clearance:

Position requires an Active Secret clearance.

Software Engineer: Full Stack

Job Highlights:

Securboration seeks to hire a well-qualified full stack software engineer who will play a key role in building a defensive cybersecurity product. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned developer who knows the ins and outs of building, deploying, and maintaining browser-based applications.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Participate in a collaborative, team-focused and agile software development process
  • Write high-quality, well-documented, and performant code that is easy for others to review, understand, maintain and test
  • Effectively convey software design and experimental results through diagrams, charts, and documentation
  • Develop software targeted towards scientific and/or military/public sector applications, with focus on object-oriented software and net-centric application development
  • Obtain and maintain a security clearance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Five years of professional experience with and expert proficiency in a modern Object-Oriented programming language such as Java, C# or C++
  • Five years of experience with and expert proficiency developing browser-based user interfaces using JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Experience developing and consuming HTTP-based APIs
  • Experience with software version control software such as Git or SVN
  • Ability to clearly convey complex concepts and ideas using writing and diagrams
  • Ability to qualify for a US DoD Security Clearance (post-employment)

Job Highlights:
