Expleo is collaborating with a major Automotive Manufacturer based in Dagenham, seeking a Software Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.
Role Overview
Your responsibilities will include leading the seamless operation of applications at our client’s Automotive manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert for several Plant Floor Systems applications and utilize that knowledge to provide production support and drive improvement.
- Lead the escalation and resolution of critical incidents/issues, working and collaborating with in-plant customers, other in Plant IT, and our global IT organization and suppliers.
- Support infrastructure and application projects.
- Create and promote best-in-class IT processes, tools, methodologies, and standards.
- Ensure appropriate use of IT processes, tools, methodologies, and standards.

Requirements
- A degree or equivalent in an IT or related subject.
- Experience supporting software applications within a manufacturing environment.
- Systems administration, including planned upgrades and patches.
- Flexibility to occasionally work outside normal hours or on weekends if required.
- Ensure audit requirements are met.
- Experience of working within a manufacturing/plant.
