We're partnering with a leading global commodities trading firm to hire a Forward Deployed Engineer. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, AI and the business, working directly with stakeholders to solve complex operational challenges through production-grade AI solutions.
You'll take ownership from discovery through to deployment, building AI-powered applications, integrations and workflows that deliver measurable business value.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with business users to understand requirements and identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions.
- Build production-grade applications using Python and modern cloud technologies.
- Develop agentic AI workflows using LLMs, LangGraph, RAG and vector databases.
- Design APIs, integrations and data pipelines with enterprise platforms.
- Deploy, support and continuously improve applications in production.

Requirements
- Strong commercial Python experience.
- AWS and cloud-native engineering.
- Experience with LLMs, LangGraph, LangChain, RAG or similar AI frameworks.
- API development, SQL and distributed systems.
- Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
- Experience within commodities, financial services or another large enterprise environment is highly desirable.
