About The Role
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Gloucester. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within the Defence, Cyber, and Intelligence sectors. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and a proactive attitude. Essential qualifications include experience in commercial software development, proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, or TypeScript, and familiarity with Linux environments. Candidates should have a solid understanding of version control systems like Git, automated testing frameworks, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. A willingness to learn new technologies and problem-solving skills are highly valued. Additionally, eligibility to obtain eDV security clearance is required, with support provided throughout the vetting process.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test robust software applications tailored to project requirements.
- Implement solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks, ensuring security and scalability.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automate testing procedures, and support infrastructure-as-code initiatives to enhance deployment efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define technical specifications and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to foster continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to ensure innovative and effective software solutions.
