As a Full Stack Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase in the Asset Management Team, you will design and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You’ll work across multiple technical areas, supporting key business functions and objectives. You will collaborate with your team to solve complex problems, drive improvements, and ensure high-quality outcomes. Your role will help shape our technology landscape and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
Job responsibilities
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms
- Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity
- Validate outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards
- Contribute learnings and reusable patterns to enhance team effectiveness
- Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain
- Utilize AI-assisted development and automation capabilities to maximize automation value
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications
- Ensure design constraints are met during software code development
- Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements
- Enhance coding hygiene and system architecture
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java
- Experience with data distribution and consumption using event, Kafka streaming, API (GraphQL and REST), and bulk methods
- Practical experience in public cloud solutions, AWS, with knowledge of mesh data distribution using Snowflake and Starburst compute engines
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation
- Ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of mesh data distribution patterns using Snowflake and Starburst
- Ability to distribute and consume data using event, streaming, bulk, and request/response methods
- Hands-on experience in public cloud technologies
