Requirements

Essential

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on:

  • Backend services
  • Distributed systems
  • System integrations

• Proven ability in designing and operating:

  • APIs
  • Webhooks
  • Asynchronous messaging systems

• Experience with languages and technologies relevant to our stack, including:

  • Java
  • TypeScript/JavaScript
  • RESTful services
  • SQL/MySQL
  • Data pipelines

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional partners.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in:

  • Public safety
  • Government software
  • Regulated domains

• Familiarity with:

  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Observability tooling
  • Cloud-native practices

Location & Security

• This role is based at our Central Manchester office and follows a hybrid work model.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the UK ONLY at this time. We are unable to sponsor employment visas.
• The role may require completing the Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) security clearance up to level 3.

Compensation Details

Total compensation for this role is market competitive and includes:

• A target base salary between £50k-£80k per annum (higher end relative to experience and local labour costs).
• Bonus opportunities, company stock options, and a full benefits package.
