Manako is a Vision Agent platform that turns existing cameras into real-time, automated decision-making tools. The platform allows organizations to describe what they need, then Manako creates and deploys Vision Agents that act on what they see without requiring new hardware. This approach removes the need for dedicated engineers or complex coding, making advanced computer vision accessible and practical. Manako focuses on real-time, actionable insights, helping customers streamline operations and improve responsiveness through automated visual intelligence.
Role Description
The Software Engineering Intern will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to develop and scale the core infrastructure powering our Vision Agents in a full-time capacity. Daily tasks include:

- Designing and building platform features
- Integrating machine learning inference pipelines into scalable software systems
- Writing clean, maintainable code
- Optimizing system performance
- Debugging deployment issues across cloud and edge environments
- Documenting technical architecture
- Participating in code reviews
- Contributing to rapid prototyping of new platform capabilities
- Supporting internal knowledge sharing through technical notes
Qualifications
- Programming skills in languages commonly used for software engineering, web development, or backend infrastructure, including familiarity with modern frameworks and libraries.
- Foundational knowledge of system architecture, database design, and API development.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle, including version control, testing, debugging, and deployment practices.
- Basic understanding of how software systems interface with hardware, cameras, or edge streaming devices is highly beneficial.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
