About The Role
As a Platform Engineer within JPMorgan Chase's Accelerator Business Platform Team, you will play a pivotal role in transforming innovative ideas into tangible products for our customers. Your focus will be on developing secure, high-quality production code, designing and operating Kubernetes-based platform services, and automating developer workflows through CI/CD pipelines. The role requires a solution-oriented mindset, a passion for new technology, and the ability to work collaboratively within squads and tribes focused on specific products and projects. You will also lead efforts in evaluating new technologies, driving operational stability, and promoting best practices in AI-assisted engineering. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of fintech innovation, contributing to a culture that values curiosity, commitment, and diversity.

Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts (e.g., CKAD, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect)
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, or Kotlin
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security best practices
- Practical experience deploying cloud-native applications on platforms like Google Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft Azure
- Experience leading the adoption and effective use of AI-assisted software development tools
- Knowledge of responsible AI practices, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs
Responsibilities
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review code written by peers to ensure standards are met
- Design, build, and operate Kubernetes-based platform services, automating developer self-service and CI/CD pipelines
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring issues to enhance operational stability and reliability of software systems
- Provide operational support for production systems, including incident response and continuous improvements in system reliability
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technology applicability
- Drive community of practice initiatives to promote awareness and adoption of new and emerging technologies
- Implement and enforce security standards through Infrastructure as Code, policy-as-code, and platform hardening
- Promote the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes
- Utilize tools within the Software Development Life Cycle to automate processes and enhance team productivity
