Software Engineer – Systematic Trading
Miller Maxwell is recruiting for an established proprietary trading firm running systematic, algorithmic strategies in futures markets globally. The firm builds its own low-latency trading infrastructure in-house and trades at serious scale.
About the Firm
Miller Maxwell's client is a high-performing trading firm with a strong track record. Software Engineers will be given full exposure across their tech stack. The core platform, high performance real-time trading software utilizes Java, C++, and Python technology.
Responsibilities
The Software Engineer will:
- Work across the full software engineering lifecycle building and enhancing their real-time trading software.
- Own core projects building and maintaining their core trading platform services: execution, order/position management, market data.
- Work closely with front-office users including Traders and Quants.
- Work on latency-critical projects.
- Improve system performance and reliability.

Requirements
Experience the Software Engineer will bring:
- A STEM related degree.
- At least 5 years of commercial Java or C++ Software engineering experience.
- Experience with high-performance software.
- Algorithmic software engineering experience.
- Multithreaded software development experience.
- Experience working within financial services is not essential but is preferred.
