About the Opportunity

Quant Insight is looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our engineering team and help build the software behind our quantitative financial products.

This is a hands-on role working at the intersection of software engineering and quantitative finance. You'll work closely with software engineers and in-house quants to take financial algorithms and product ideas from concept through to production.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, implement, test, and deploy production financial software.
  • Work primarily with Python and C++.
  • Turn quantitative models and financial algorithms into robust production systems.
  • Build and maintain customer-facing APIs and applications.
  • Develop and maintain services running on AWS.
  • Work across the full software lifecycle, from design through deployment and ongoing support.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and CI/CD processes.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in production systems.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
