About the Role
A leading financial technology firm is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join its engineering team on a long-term contract.
This is an opportunity to work on highly scalable, low-latency systems that support critical data platforms and engineering initiatives within a performance-driven environment.
You'll be responsible for designing and building high-performance distributed systems, helping to evolve core engineering platforms while working closely with engineers across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance distributed systems
- Build scalable software to support business growth
- Develop data processing libraries and engineering tooling
- Deliver market and reference data solutions
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform performance and reliability
- Contribute to the design of modern, scalable software architecture
Requirements
- Strong Kotlin and/or C# development experience
- Experience developing on Linux
- Strong understanding of distributed systems
- Experience building scalable, high-performance applications
- Python experience would be advantageous
- Experience working with market data is beneficial but not essential
