About The Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Software Developer (.NET) to join a reputable Belfast-based organization that operates in a hybrid working environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a developer with a passion for solving complex integration challenges and taking ownership of critical projects. The successful candidate will become an integral part of a small, dedicated engineering team focused on delivering impactful solutions for international clients. You will initially work on a significant systems integration project, designing and building Web APIs to connect new platforms with established back-office systems. As the project progresses, you will continue to develop and enhance the wider backend platform, gaining long-term ownership and influence over the system's evolution. This position is ideal for professionals eager to introduce modern development practices within a pragmatic framework, supporting a live, complex business environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years' commercial experience developing with C# and.NET frameworks
  • Proven experience in building or integrating RESTful APIs
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server and Entity Framework
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly to stakeholders
  • A proactive problem-solving attitude and the ability to work effectively within a small, collaborative team

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Web APIs to facilitate system integrations and support ongoing platform enhancements
  • Collaborate closely with both technical colleagues and client stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Participate in technical decision-making processes, contributing innovative solutions and best practices
  • Engage in the full lifecycle of projects, from requirements gathering through to deployment and support
  • Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Support the continuous improvement of the backend systems by introducing modern development approaches where appropriate
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of code and system configurations for future reference and compliance
