About The Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Software Developer (.NET) to join a reputable Belfast-based organization that operates in a hybrid working environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a developer with a passion for solving complex integration challenges and taking ownership of critical projects. The successful candidate will become an integral part of a small, dedicated engineering team focused on delivering impactful solutions for international clients. You will initially work on a significant systems integration project, designing and building Web APIs to connect new platforms with established back-office systems. As the project progresses, you will continue to develop and enhance the wider backend platform, gaining long-term ownership and influence over the system's evolution. This position is ideal for professionals eager to introduce modern development practices within a pragmatic framework, supporting a live, complex business environment.

Qualifications
- Minimum of four years' commercial experience developing with C# and.NET frameworks
- Proven experience in building or integrating RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server and Entity Framework
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly to stakeholders
- A proactive problem-solving attitude and the ability to work effectively within a small, collaborative team
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Web APIs to facilitate system integrations and support ongoing platform enhancements
- Collaborate closely with both technical colleagues and client stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery
- Participate in technical decision-making processes, contributing innovative solutions and best practices
- Engage in the full lifecycle of projects, from requirements gathering through to deployment and support
- Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Support the continuous improvement of the backend systems by introducing modern development approaches where appropriate
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of code and system configurations for future reference and compliance
