About the Team
AI Portal is the SaaS platform that connects Wayve to the outside world. The AI Portal team acts as the airlock between Wayve and its commercial partners: managing data flows, partner integrations, operational tooling, and web interfaces for internal and external audiences. We are a small, high-ownership team operating like a startup within a scale-up: close to our customers and close to the commercial frontier of autonomous vehicle deployment.
We build product, own systems end-to-end, operate what we ship, and work directly with some of the biggest names in the automotive industry to make sure Wayve delivers a world-class technical experience.
The Role
This is a cloud-based software engineering role for a product-minded engineer who enjoys building fast with care, maintaining the solutions they build, and working close to customers.
You will work across services, interfaces, infrastructure, and integrations, looking after systems in production. We are looking for engineers who are comfortable moving across the stack to solve customer problems.
You will build internal or partner-facing product features, integrate Wayve systems with OEM environments, improve our application quality, and resolve production issues when they arise.
This is a build-it, run-it team with a high level of ownership: you will not just write code; you will have shared ownership of the systems we build. You will use metrics and feedback to improve Portal over time to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
