About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join our Equities Front Office Trading and Analytics Team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the Systematic Quoting Platform workstream for the EMEA region, developing and enhancing critical applications that directly impact our equity derivatives trading activities. You will work closely with trading desks, sales teams, and quantitative research to deliver innovative solutions that automate processes, improve stability, and drive operational efficiency. Your expertise in Python and agentic development will be instrumental in advancing our automation initiatives and ensuring the robustness of our global trading platform. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence business transformation, foster technical excellence, and contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with systematic trading technology platforms
  • Proven ability to develop, deploy, and maintain service-oriented applications
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming and familiarity with agentic development (ADLC)
  • Business knowledge of simple derivative products such as vanilla options, variance swaps, and related strategies
  • Understanding of pricing models and risk evaluation using Greeks
  • Experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python)
  • Knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or Sybase
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the effective use of AI-assisted software development tools
  • Effective understanding of secure coding practices, automated testing, and code review processes
  • Experience across the full project lifecycle, from conception to deployment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance applications supporting equity derivatives trading and analytics functions
  • Collaborate with trading desks, technology teams, and quantitative research to deliver impactful solutions
  • Lead the Systematic Quoting Platform workstream for the EMEA region, ensuring alignment with business needs
  • Maintain and improve existing technology stacks to ensure system stability and performance
  • Automate front-office processes and functions through innovative technology solutions
  • Partner with global and local teams to address and resolve complex business problems
  • Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to enhance code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes
  • Apply disciplined software development practices, including secure coding, peer reviews, automated testing, and deployment standards
  • Participate in business transformation projects across analytics, marketing, and publishing domains
  • Propose innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge in the market
