Software Engineer (Python + Buy-Side)
Location: London (4-5 Days in Office per week)
Salary: Between £80,000 - £150,000 + 50% Bonus + Benefits
This is an excellent opportunity for a Software Engineer to join a leading global investment management firm at the intersection of technology and financial markets. The Role
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business critical applications used across a range of operational and investment support functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building high quality software solutions that support decision making and business processes across the organisation
- Designing and developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications
- Partnering with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate requirements into technical solutions
- Taking ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from design through to testing and deployment
- Collaborating with engineers and business teams to solve complex technical problems

Your Skills & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong commercial experience developing production level software in Python
- Experience with object oriented programming languages such as Java or C#
- Experience working within financial services, asset management, hedge funds, or a similar environment
- Understanding of at least one financial asset class
Desirable experience:
- Exposure to AI assisted coding tools in a production environment
- Knowledge of Equity or Fixed Income products and markets
- Experience building enterprise applications that support operational or investment functions
