About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our Research & Development team at YT Technologies. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and supporting embedded software that aligns with our company's technical roadmap. Your expertise will enable the creation of sophisticated solutions deployed across various defence and security applications. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of next-generation defence systems.
Qualifications
- Proven professional experience in embedded software development, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering complex software solutions.
- Solid understanding of Linux operating system concepts and architecture.
- Practical knowledge of RF environments, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), and hardware debugging tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively.
- Eligibility for UK Security Vetting, with a minimum of BPSS clearance; UK residency conditions apply.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support embedded software aligned with the company's technical roadmap, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Technical Support, Sales, and Operations to translate concepts into fully functional products ready for deployment.
- Work closely with RF environments and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) applications to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Contribute to process improvements by evaluating and integrating new technologies for future product lines, maintaining the company's competitive edge.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and testing processes to ensure software quality and compliance with industry standards.
