Software Engineer, Rapid Response Assignment - (UK)

Location: Cheltenham, UK (Remote)
Team: Product & Engineering
Employment Type: Full-Time

About VulnCheck

Exploitation prevention is only as strong as the intelligence driving those efforts, and most of the industry is still running on intelligence that lacks exploit context. VulnCheck, The Exploit Intelligence Company, delivers structured exploit intelligence on what is actively weaponized in the wild, purpose-built for the data lakes, ETL pipelines, automation, and AI and LLM workflows your infrastructure already runs on, raising the capability of everything it powers.

About the Role

We're looking for a Software Engineer, Rapid Response Assignment who combines strong engineering skills with a deep commitment to customer outcomes. In this hands-on role, you'll make sure our customers stay unblocked and that the issues they raise are resolved quickly, accurately, and for good.

You'll diagnose and fix complex problems across our platform, deliver improvements that directly address customer needs, and work closely with our Customer Success team to turn technical challenges into great outcomes. As part of a global engineering team providing continuous coverage, you'll bring engineering rigor to the work that customers feel most directly. This is a 100% remote role, but we're primarily looking for candidates based in Cheltenham, UK.

What You'll Do

  • Resolve customer-reported issues quickly and thoroughly, from investigation through to a durable fix
  • Diagnose complex, ambiguous problems across our services and data pipelines, tracing them to root cause
  • Deliver high-quality engineering work that improves the platform and directly addresses customer needs
  • Partner closely with Customer Success to align on technical solutions and outcomes
  • Maintain and improve backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code and uphold engineering best practices
  • Improve system reliability, performance, and observability across the platform
  • Participate in incident response and on-call rotations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
