About The Role
As a Lead Software Engineer within JPMorgan Chase's accelerator team, you will be at the forefront of our innovative ventures. Your primary responsibility is to translate smart ideas into tangible products that serve our customers effectively. You will work in a collaborative environment, engaging with cross-functional squads focused on specific products and projects. Your expertise in front-end development, particularly with TypeScript and React, will be essential in designing scalable, high-performance solutions. We seek a solution-oriented, commercially savvy professional with a passion for fintech and emerging technologies. Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- Advanced experience in React with TypeScript
- Strong engineering mindset focused on scalability and performance
- Proven ability to solve complex problems elegantly
- Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated leadership in utilizing AI-assisted development tools
- Knowledge of responsible AI practices, including data sensitivity and security considerations
- Ability to adapt to rapid changes and uncertainties
- Strong collaborative and team-oriented approach
- Quick learner with results-driven attitude
Responsibilities
- Designing and building scalable, performant front-end solutions using TypeScript and React
- Developing features for both B2C and B2B platforms
- Promoting and maintaining high code quality standards through best practices and code reviews
- Writing testable, reliable, and resilient code suitable for production environments
- Collaborating within cross-functional squads to take ownership of issues and drive decision-making
- Participating actively in technical discussions, providing insightful input
- Driving team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed
- Implementing validation standards such as secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing
- Leveraging SDLC tools and automation capabilities to enhance development processes
- Mentoring team members on responsible AI use and secure development practices
