The opportunity
We’re working with a small, specialist engineering business founded by three former tech leads who left traditional consultancies and defence primes to do things differently. They’ve grown organically over the past few years, building a strong reputation across the London National Security community.
They’re now looking to bring in exceptional Software Engineers who want to work on complex, mission-focused projects, close to the customer, with real ownership of what they build. Solve problems where the outcome genuinely matters.
This is not a traditional consultancy environment. You won’t be one of many engineers in a stripey delivery team, dictated by frameworks. You’ll be part of a focused team, working directly with customers and colleagues to solve difficult problems.
Two routes into the teams:
- Already hold enhanced DV clearance? You will slot straight into projects embedded with the customer, working on high-side engineering challenges from day one.

- Hold UKSV / MoD clearance? You’d initially align with a greenfield AI project, with the opportunity to have your clearance enhanced and move into high-side work once granted.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work closely with customers and other engineers to design, build and deliver software that solves real operational problems for analysts and operators, secures data pipelines and builds early-stage prototypes, alongside broader AI, cloud and data solutions.

What we’re looking for
We’re interested in Software Engineers who enjoy solving difficult problems and want to work in a more hands-on, customer-focused environment. You might have experience with:
- C++, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python or similar
- Modern software engineering practices
- Cloud, data or AI-enabled applications
- Working in secure or highly regulated environments
- Designing and delivering software in a small, collaborative team
We’re more interested in how you think, what you’ve built and the problems you enjoy solving.
The practical details
- Location: London
- Working pattern: 4–5 days per week on site or in office
- Clearance: UKSV / MoD clearance, or enhanced DV clearance
- Salary: Up to £90,000 + package, experience dependent
