About The Role

As a Senior/Staff Software Engineer at Ledgy, you will play a critical role in designing and developing scalable, elegant systems that underpin how companies manage their equity. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with a talented team of engineers, product managers, and designers primarily based in Zurich and London to create industry-leading automation solutions and user experiences. Your work will directly impact the automation of complex equity workflows, replacing manual processes with reliable, automated systems. In this role, you will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from architecture discussions to implementation, testing, and deployment. You will also have opportunities to influence the technical direction of Ledgy’s equity platform, mentor junior engineers, and participate in strategic planning to ensure the platform's robustness and scalability. This position offers a unique chance to work at the intersection of finance and technology, making a tangible impact on entrepreneurship across Europe.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, with experience in both backend and frontend development
  • Hands-on experience with React, Node.js, and MongoDB
  • Strong understanding of modern cloud infrastructure, including GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, reliable data systems and workflows
  • Familiarity with financial data transformations, compliance, and automation processes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly
  • Experience with system architecture and design, including data modeling and API development
  • Prior experience in fintech or equity management platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable software solutions for equity management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and architecture
  • Implement automation workflows to streamline complex equity processes and integrations with third-party services
  • Contribute to the development of transaction logic, data models, and core domain behavior
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and maintaining high engineering standards
  • Work on improving system performance, scalability, and security
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices within the team
  • Engage in architecture discussions related to data workflows, integrations, and platform scaling
  • Develop and deliver impactful features aligned with product and business goals
  • Assist in shaping the technical roadmap and future development strategies for Ledgy’s platform
