About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our team in the capacity of a Power Plant Operations Engineer. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and optimization of our combined heat and power (CHP) facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring plant performance, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reliability. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to innovative energy solutions that support sustainable development goals. The role requires a proactive approach, strong technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field
  • Relevant certifications in power plant operations or maintenance
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in power generation, preferably within CHP or similar energy facilities
  • Strong knowledge of plant equipment, control systems, and safety protocols
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control the daily operations of the CHP plant to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment, including turbines, boilers, and control systems.
  • Diagnose operational issues promptly, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams and external contractors to facilitate repairs and upgrades.
  • Maintain detailed records of plant performance, maintenance activities, and incident reports for compliance and analysis.
  • Participate in safety audits and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance plant productivity.
  • Assist in the development and review of operational procedures and emergency response plans.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting power plant operations.
