The Opportunity
We are always hiring software engineers. This advert stays open because engineering is the constraint on how fast we can build, and we would rather meet good people continuously than scramble when a team needs someone.
You will work in a small feature team on the platform that carries real client assets. Solutions reach users in days rather than months. You will work closely with Product to understand the design, with Blockchain Engineering where the platform meets the chain, and with Operations who use what you build every day. The financial logic is complicated, so the work is as much about understanding the problem as writing the code.
We do not hire to a fixed level. We shape the role, the scope and the money around the person we meet, so apply whether you are early in your career and moving fast or you have spent years leading systems work. What we look for is the same either way: you can build, you hold yourself and your work to the highest standards, check your work, and you tell people when something is wrong.

This post is based in our Belfast office, on a hybrid pattern of three days a week in the office.
Salary is competitive and banded. We agree the band once we have met you and understood the scope you can take on, rather than setting it from a job title.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design, build and maintain performant, flexible and scalable services that carry real client assets
- Ship features that reach users in days rather than months, inside a small feature team
- Build on our platform so investors can understand their holdings, manage their portfolios and exercise voting rights on their assets
- Design and build the APIs institutional partners use to access the platform and place orders
- Take a loosely defined problem through to a documented, tested and deployed solution
- Work with Product, Blockchain Engineering and Operations to turn financial logic into working software
- Hold the line on quality through tests, reviews and the standards the team works to
- Improve how we build, whether that is tooling, CI/CD, documentation or the way we make decisions
- Share what you know, in code review, in writing and in time spent with other engineers
This role will be a great fit if you:
- Write TypeScript or JavaScript on the backend and are at home in a framework such as NestJS or Express
- Care whether the code you ship is performant and efficient, not only whether it works
- Have designed and built RESTful APIs, and can explain the trade-offs you made
- Have worked in a team that uses automated testing, CI/CD and peer review, and prefer working that way
- Hold a high bar for your own work and check it before anyone else has to
- Raise your hand early when something has gone wrong, and see the fix through
- Write and speak clearly, because most of what we decide gets written down first
- Want to understand the finance behind the product, not only the ticket in front of you
Nice to haves:
- Have worked with React and Next.js
- Have experience of security-first technical architecture
- Have worked in fintech, capital markets or another regulated environment
