What you'll do
- Own features from problem → architecture → production
- Build Python/FastAPI services across search, recommendations and personalisation
- Work with PostgreSQL, Redis and GCP
- Ship LLM/RAG/AI functionality into real customer journeys
- Work across React/Next.js/TypeScript when needed
- Work directly with founders on what gets built and how
- Help shape the engineering standards future hires inherit
Who they're looking for:
- 3–6 years' experience shipping production software for real customers
- Proven in a high-bar environment: leading consumer tech, successful VC-backed startup/scale-up, global technology company or similarly selective product team
- Strong Python/AI expertise with genuine full-stack ability
- Evidence you've outperformed your level: rapid progression, early ownership or unusually high-impact work
- Strong technical/academic foundations are a big plus
- You actively want startup life: ownership, pace, ambiguity and responsibility beyond your job title
