Build technology that shapes global financial markets
If you're a Senior Engineer who enjoys working on high-impact products, modern technology, and genuinely challenging engineering problems, this could be a great next step.
We're partnering with a major global financial information organisation that is expanding its Manchester technology team. You'll be joining an established engineering environment where your work will contribute to platforms used to support decision-making across global financial markets.
This isn't a role where you'll simply be maintaining an existing codebase. You'll have the opportunity to design, build and improve modern applications, work with emerging technologies including AI, and have real visibility and ownership over what you deliver.
The technology
You'll be working across a modern full-stack environment including:
- Python, FastAPI / Flask / Pandas
- React, with TypeScript and Node.js
- AWS & Kubernetes
- PostgreSQL / Oracle & MongoDB
- GitHub Actions & CI/CD
- Modern cloud-native engineering practices
What you'll be doing
You'll be involved across the full software development lifecycle, including:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
