Full Description

Hiredbuddy is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineer to join our remote team. In this entry-level role, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to the development of innovative software solutions. We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, a passion for learning, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

As a Software Engineer at Hiredbuddy, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that meet our clients' needs. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into reliable and scalable code. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Debugging and fixing issues
  • Participating in code reviews to ensure quality
  • Exploring new technologies
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our development processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Solid understanding of programming fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or C++
  • Basic knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) and RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively
  • Up to 2 years of professional experience (including internships) preferred but not required
