(Fully Remote) Engineering Manager: B2C Fintech Company - Up to £130k

Responsibilities

  • Own the delivery of a high visibility migration from planning through to execution.
  • Set clear delivery plans, give regular and honest progress updates, and manage expectations with senior stakeholders when the pressure is on.
  • Line manage five engineers, running 1:1s, supporting their development and building a team that delivers with ownership.
  • Contribute hands on across a Java back end, and play a key role in architecture and design decisions for the new platform.

Requirements

  • Experience as an Engineering Manager leading a team while staying genuinely hands on.
  • Experience leading a system migration is highly relevant.
  • You can communicate clearly under pressure, keep senior people informed and build trust through reliable delivery.
  • Strong architecture and system design skills, with the judgement to make sound technical decisions on a high-stakes project.
