We’re building something powerful. Let’s build it together.

We've delivered high-performance embedded computing solutions for four decades across industries including defence, telecoms, and aerospace. We’re proud to be experts in what we do and are looking for more brilliant people to join our team.

The Role

In this role, you will lead and develop our software engineering capability, creating the environment, processes and culture that enable teams to deliver high-quality products at pace. You will play a foundational role in shaping the future of software engineering within a growing and innovative organisation, building and developing a high-performing team, influencing engineering strategy and ways of working, and ensuring the successful delivery of software solutions. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on our people, products and engineering culture while helping to define the future direction of the function.

What will I be delivering?

  • Lead, develop and grow a high-performing software engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver software solutions across new product development, product sustainment and customer-driven enhancements, ensuring alignment with business and customer objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance, supporting key architectural decisions and helping teams navigate complex software and system-level challenges.
  • Oversee software delivery planning, prioritisation and resource allocation, managing risks, dependencies and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support customers and the wider business through technical problem-solving, bid and proposal input, product strategy development, and the successful transition of products into deployment and long-term support.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
