The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our Information Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and support a team of Software Engineering professionals.

In this role, you will be responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of the team, ensuring project delivery dates, support commitments, and quality requirements are achieved. You will work closely with Business Leaders, provide clear visibility of delivery status, and ensure software development activity is effectively planned, resourced, and managed throughout the development lifecycle.

What You Need To Be Successful

  • Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK with no restrictions OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full-time employment in the UK.
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related subject.
  • Experience in leading the delivery of software development projects, including support and maintenance with a proven record for on-time delivery.
  • Experience working within a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience of working within Waterfall and Agile Software Development Methodologies.
  • Experience of managing AI pipelines and toolchains.
