Software Engineering Manager

Industry: London Markets Insurance

Location: London / Hybrid

Duration: 9 months likely to extend or be made perm for the right candidate

Contract: Outside IR35 engagement

A longstanding London Markets Insurance client has a rare opportunity to engage a senior Contractor at Engineering Manager level to help define and deliver the 2027 technology road map accountable directly to the Head of Technology.

Responsibilities

  • You will have oversight of the designing of development processes and standards whilst providing technology leadership, guidance and direction to a sizeable team of Engineers.
  • Your main deliverable will be leading a specific digitized platform build powered by AI.

Required Experience

  • Technology leadership experience including leadership and guidance of 20+ Software Engineers
  • Deep understanding of SDLC and impact of AI
  • Strong software engineering background with ability to set direction for high quality engineering standards
  • Experience leading proprietary technology platform builds
  • Strong London Markets Insurance experience is required
