Software Engineering Manager
£90 – 95k basic
Portsmouth – Hybrid with one day a week in the office and 4 days WFH
Your new opportunity…
This is a predominantly hands-off role, where you’ll be line managing individuals, monitoring performance and owning the standard of development, ensuring long-term performance and productivity.
A key part of this role will be fostering and promoting a collaborative, productive environment where your reports are motivated to share ideas and improve process.
You’ll be reporting into the C-suite and will have visible influence over how this part of the business runs.

What you’ll bring…
You’ve come from a strong development background but your passion now lies in people management and inspiring others.
Some skills and knowledge you’ll bring:
- Extensive experience of managing a development team.
- Strong experience in managing and monitoring engineering performance and implementing and driving continuous improvement.
- A background in hands-on Software Development and experience in the following tech stack: C#,.NET, Azure, SQL.
- The ability to communicate with individuals at all levels and to challenge Tech leads and other senior stakeholders.

What’s in it for you?

Salary for this role is £90,000 – 100,000 basic. It’s a hybrid role with one day a week in their office just outside of Portsmouth and 4 days from home. Other benefits include 25 days holiday (+ your birthday and bank holidays), pension, EAP scheme and more.
