Skills And Competencies

  • Strong understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency
  • Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive and positive approach
  • Highly organized, efficient, and results-oriented
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Education

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Ability to work during program dates: June 14 - August 20, 2027

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance fund finance API solutions through software development, test automation, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Assist in the ongoing development of AM Fund Finance suite of APIs
  • Support the design and delivery of automated testing solutions to improve application quality and reliability
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and supporting materials
  • Contribute to the creation and delivery of internal and external presentations
  • Collaborate with team members to support project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives

About The Team

Asset Management (AM), a division of Moody’s, provides intuitive, user-friendly risk analytics and reporting for the pensions and investment market. Through our award-winning, customizable risk management solutions, our clients can identify, evaluate and manage risk while effectively capitalizing on investment opportunities. The AM Fund Finance product suite delivers a flexible framework that provides extensive coverage of a wide range of investments to provide transparency into a portfolio’s exposure, risk and performance. Based in Edinburgh, the AM Fund Finance team is looking for a talented, motivated individual to join the software development department. This will be a hybrid internship with approximately 2 days per week in the office. You must be in Edinburgh for the duration of the internship.

Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June – August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody's business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth.
