Software Implementation Consultant required to join a growing, product-led software business in Scotland, operating within a highly specialised industry. The organisation develops a complex platform used by an international customer base and is continuing to invest in its product and services as it grows.

This is a varied, customer-facing role where you’ll work with clients throughout the implementation journey - understanding how their business operates, translating those requirements into practical solutions, working with their data, and helping them successfully adopt the platform.

The Company

This is a well-established software business operating within a specialist market where its technology plays an important role in supporting complex customer operations.

The organisation is part of a wider international software group, giving it the backing and stability of a larger organisation while retaining the agility and close-knit feel of a specialist product business.

The company has a strong focus on customer relationships and continued product development, with a collaborative culture where people are encouraged to take ownership, share ideas and develop their expertise.

With a remote-first team, you’ll be joining a relatively small and experienced group where your work is visible and you’ll have the opportunity to contribute across both customer delivery and the wider product.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for helping customers get from buying the software to successfully using it within their business.

That means getting underneath how a customer currently works, understanding what they need the system to achieve and helping shape the best way of implementing it. You’ll spend time with customers running workshops and gathering requirements, but you’ll also get into the detail – looking at their data, identifying problems, configuring the system and helping resolve issues along the way.

You’ll work across several implementations, so there is plenty of variety. One week you might be working remotely with a customer on requirements and data, while another could involve spending several days onsite helping deliver a key stage of an implementation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll also work closely with the internal product and development teams, bringing customer insight back into the business and helping ensure the platform continues to develop in line with what customers need.

It’s a role that would suit someone who enjoys being the person customers turn to for advice, but who also likes getting into the detail of systems, data and how things actually work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own software implementations through discovery, solution design, configuration and customer go-live
  • Work with customers to understand their processes and translate business challenges into effective software solutions
  • Lead workshops and discussions with stakeholders, helping customers challenge existing ways of working where there is an opportunity to improve
  • Work with customer data as part of implementation projects, identifying issues and ensuring information is suitable for migration
  • Manage several customer projects and priorities at the same time, keeping delivery organised and maintaining clear communication throughout
  • Provide product guidance and training, helping customers understand how to get the most from the platform
  • Feed customer requirements and insights back into the product and development teams to support ongoing improvements

About You

  • Experience delivering software implementations, ideally involving complex business processes or enterprise applications
  • Comfortable working directly with customers and confident communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Naturally analytical, with an ability to understand how businesses operate and work through problems logically
  • Technically curious and comfortable working with systems, data and different technologies
  • Well organised and capable of managing multiple projects without losing sight of detail or deadlines
  • Commercially minded and confident enough to offer advice, challenge customers and recommend a better approach when appropriate
  • A proactive personality with the confidence to learn a specialist product and become a trusted source of knowledge for customers

Experience with data migration, ERP or other operational software would be beneficial, alongside exposure to working with large datasets and tools such as SQL or Excel.

You’ll need a driving licence and be comfortable with travel as part of the role. The amount of travel will vary depending on projects, rather than being a fixed weekly requirement.

Why Join?

  • Work on genuinely varied implementation projects rather than delivering the same solution repeatedly
  • Develop a broad skill set across software, data, consulting and project delivery
  • Build relationships with an interesting international customer base and become a trusted advisor throughout their projects
  • Join a close-knit, remote-first team where you’ll have genuine ownership and visibility
  • Work alongside experienced product and development teams and have an influence on how the platform evolves
  • Be part of a wider international software group, offering stability and longer-term career opportunities

What’s on Offer

This is a remote-first role but candidates will need to be based in Scotland, it’s offering a salary of £40,000 – £45,000 + car allowance + bonus alongside a strong benefits package.

Travel to customer sites is expected mainly across Scotland, but could be the UK and occasionally internationally, although this will vary depending on project requirements. There may be periods with little or no travel, followed by a week onsite with a customer when a project reaches an important stage.

If you’re an Implementation Consultant who enjoys working with customers, solving problems and getting into the detail of how software can improve the way a business operates, this is a great opportunity to join a specialist software business where you can have a real impact.
