Role Description
The Software Integration Engineer is a 6-month contract, remote role responsible for working on Loudwater’s integration platform. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain integration solutions, including APIs, data pipelines, and middleware services. You will collaborate with product and development to understand requirements, map data from various third-party systems, and ensure smooth deployment of new integrations.

Daily work includes diagnosing and resolving integration issues, monitoring performance, and improving reliability and scalability of existing interfaces. You will also contribute to continuous integration workflows, documentation, and best practices that support secure and maintainable software delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong software integration and development skills, including experience with APIs, data formats (e.g., JSON, XML), and integration frameworks.
- Troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyse logs, isolate root causes, and resolve complex integration and performance issues.
- Continuous integration experience, including working with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automated build and test tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerisation tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
- Solid understanding of security best practices, data privacy, and reliable data synchronization in distributed systems is preferred.
- Industry knowledge or experience in the education sector is desirable.
- Qualifications in computer science, software engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
