Job Overview
The Software & Payments Initiatives Manager will identify and evaluate product innovation opportunities, develop business cases and deliver business growth through delivery of these projects to market across three UK-based Constellation Software companies.
This is a delivery-and-orchestration role rather than a people-management role in the first instance: success depends on influence, structure, and clarity across squads, functions, and leadership, rather than direct headcount ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify and prioritise potential revenue-generating initiatives across Dealer UK
- Continually research ideas from customers, internal stakeholders and sister companies to identify revenue-generating opportunities based on current and future customer needs.
- Build a business case for each initiative, including cost analysis, pricing and pro forma financials (e.g. TAM, ARR, and IRR); obtain stakeholder buy-in and sign-off from the senior management team.
- Execute each initiative as a start-up, taking ownership of the full product lifecycle from start to finish.
- Create a pipeline of revenue-generating initiatives at various stages of execution.
- Ensure all products are developed in a customer-centric manner
- Identify and specify market requirements by proposing solutions that deliver high revenue growth, either through ems that a high number of customers have, creating high amounts of value or both.
- Define and build a minimum sellable product.
- Test and validate assumptions by building and managing a development partner group.
- Oversee the successful research and development of identified initiatives
- Partner with the R&D Director to secure resources.
- Prepare a project plan and deliver this using AI driven development processes such as AI-DLC
- Act as the connective layer between Product, Engineering, and Commercial functions to keep initiatives aligned to business outcomes.
- Take ownership of the project scope, timeline and budget.
- Drive the successful execution of the launch and post-launch phases of each initiative
- Partner with all departments and stakeholders to develop and execute a company-wide go-to-market plan.
- Partner with the Marketing team to create a marketing plan, develop collateral and deliver product presentations to customers.
- Partner with the Sales Director to create and communicate the sales strategy, develop the required collateral and help the sales team meet its goals.
- Take ownership of product support and implementation during the early stages of launch; create user documentation and build the knowledge base required for the relevant departments to support and implement the product successfully.
- Create and maintain referenceable customer relationships.
- Lead the introduction of Perseus Pay in the UK
- Strategically scope, manage the development and execute the UK launch, enabling Dealer UK to offer customers a fully embedded payments solution.
- Build the business case and coordinate commercial, regulatory, technical and operational readiness across key stakeholders.
- Own go-to-market delivery and track adoption, revenue and return on investment.
- Measure the success of product innovation projects
- Produce and present return-on-investment metrics.
- Measure and report on each project monthly and quarterly.
- Present findings at management meetings as required.
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Applications
We recognise that many candidates use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support the preparation of job applications. AI may be used to assist with tasks such as spell checking, grammar, formatting and improving the clarity of written responses. However, applicants must ensure that all information submitted is their own and accurately reflects their skills, knowledge, qualifications and experience. Candidates should not use AI or other automated tools to complete application forms, generate substantive responses on their behalf, or create content that does not genuinely represent their own experience and abilities. Applications should be a personal and authentic expression of the candidate's qualifications, achievements and career history.
Any information provided must be truthful, accurate and capable of being discussed and evidenced during the recruitment process. AI-generated content must not be used to fabricate, exaggerate, embellish or misrepresent experience, qualifications, responsibilities or achievements. The use of AI to present information that is not an accurate reflection of a candidate's own experience may be regarded as dishonest and may be treated as a form of cheating within the recruitment process. Where we reasonably believe that an application contains misleading, fabricated or misrepresented information, the application may be withdrawn from consideration or, where discovered later, any offer of employment may be withdrawn in accordance with applicable law.
This approach helps us maintain a fair, transparent and inclusive recruitment process, ensuring that all candidates are assessed consistently on their own skills, experience and potential.
