Job Responsibilities & Requirements

A Brief Overview

As the Optics Product Manager, you will be the day-to-day product owner for the MiTek Optics business management SaaS solution. You will translate customer, stakeholder and business needs into clear, prioritised product work for agile delivery teams, owning backlog health, feature definition, acceptance criteria, release readiness and feature-level quality. You will work closely with development, user-experience, customer-facing and product portfolio teams to ensure MiTek Optics delivers valuable capabilities for regional customers.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Scrum Product Owner for assigned Optics product areas, linking product decisions to team goals and customer outcomes, and aligning and motivating the scrum team through influence.
  • Maintain an ordered, understandable backlog, balancing value, risk, dependency, urgency and capacity so work is ready for delivery teams.
  • Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, feature requirements and supporting notes that reduce ambiguity for Dev and QA.
  • Collect and synthesize input from customers, implementation teams, support, regional stakeholders, telemetry and product usage data, and build domain knowledge across EMEA regional deployment contexts.
  • Assess whether increments are ready to ship, making necessary trade-offs while considering customer impact, quality, deployment readiness and stakeholder expectations.
  • Validate that delivered functionality solves the intended problem and meets agreed acceptance criteria before release to customers.
  • Provide concise, timely status updates and decision rationale, ensuring stakeholders understand priorities, trade-offs and delivery implications.
  • Partner with Product Portfolio Management on market-facing context, roadmap direction and go-to-market inputs, contributing product and delivery perspective to those decisions.
  • Help internal teams understand new functionality, release changes and the business/customer context behind features.
  • Identify and communicate product risks, including compliance, security, operational, financial and reputational risks, and track mitigations where appropriate.
  • Use approved AI tools responsibly to accelerate product work while maintaining quality and ownership, validating outputs, and following data-handling rules.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
