Software Project Manager – Software Delivery & Release Management – Internal Work As Well As Client Facing

Role Overview

A digital consultancy is seeking a proactive Software Project Manager to coordinate software delivery, keep teams focused and help projects move successfully from planning through to completion.

This is a blended role, it will initially be focused primarily on internal engineering projects and release management, with the opportunities then to take on external customer-facing projects over time. You will work closely with engineering teams to establish priorities, coordinate activities, track progress and ensure that everyone understands what needs to happen next.

These are traditional enterprise software delivery projects rather than SaaS implementations, so careful planning and coordination across each delivery phase are central to the role.

Why This Role

You will play a central role in bringing structure to engineering work, coordinating releases and helping teams meet their commitments. Each project typically lasts around a year, which will give you exposure to the full delivery lifecycle, from initial workshops and requirements capture through to deployment and go-live in a variety of different environments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
