About STATSports

What if the product you helped to build next week was worn by an elite athlete the week after?

At STATSports, that could be your reality.

Since 2007, we’ve grown from a small Irish start-up into the global leader in GPS performance tracking, trusted by the world’s biggest clubs, leagues, and athletes. Our technology sits at the intersection of hardware, software, and sport, helping teams optimise performance, reduce injury risk, and unlock insights that were previously impossible.

But just as importantly, our products support the next generation of athletes, from academies to grassroots, giving them access to the same performance tools as the pros.

Innovation has always driven us forward, and it’s our people who make that happen.

The opportunity

We’re looking for a QA Engineer to join our Software Department as part of our Elite product team, helping ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of the software that powers STATSports products.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with software engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle. You’ll combine manual and automated testing, help shape test strategies, and continuously improve how we validate and release software across web, mobile, and desktop platforms.

If you’re passionate about quality, enjoy collaborating with engineers, and like being close to the product, this role will suit you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Contributing across the full software testing lifecycle, covering both manual and automated testing
  • Designing, creating, maintaining, and executing test cases and automated test suites for new and existing features
  • Working closely with developers and product owners to ensure quality is built into requirements and designs from the start
  • Actively participating in Agile ceremonies, providing QA input on acceptance criteria, risks, and release readiness
  • Supporting test planning and test strategy to ensure appropriate coverage for complex products and releases
  • Executing testing across Web, Mobile, and Desktop applications
  • Writing and executing SQL queries to validate data integrity and support backend testing
  • Identifying, logging, tracking, and clearly communicating defects using tools such as JIRA
  • Investigating issues and providing detailed QA analysis to support root-cause identification
  • Producing clear QA reports on test execution status, quality metrics, and release readiness
  • Continuously improving QA processes, tools, and automation coverage

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
