Role Description

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer is a full-time, remote role responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of Savvy’s technology solutions. Day-to-day activities include:

  • Designing and executing manual test cases
  • Performing functional, regression, and integration testing
  • Validating new features against requirements

The role involves collaborating with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to:

  • Identify defects
  • Document issues clearly
  • Support timely resolution

The engineer will:

  • Create and maintain test documentation
  • Contribute to quality standards
  • Help refine processes that improve release stability and customer experience

This position also includes:

  • Participating in reviews
  • Proposing enhancements
  • Supporting continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Software Quality, Quality Assurance, and Software Quality Assurance practices.
  • Proficiency in Manual Testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Understanding of Software Development concepts and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience creating test plans, test cases, and defect reports using standard QA tools.
  • Ability to analyze requirements, identify edge cases, and translate them into effective tests.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaboration in a remote, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience with API testing, database queries, or basic scripting/automation is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and working within distributed teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
