Playwright QA Lead | Playwright
£70,000–£80,000
Hybrid – London (3 days per week)
Ready to lead a QA transformation rather than simply manage testing?
We're partnering with a leading global publisher looking for a hands-on QA Lead to take ownership of the next stage of their quality engineering journey.
The business already has an established QA function, with manual testing embedded across multiple digital platforms used by customers around the world. Now they're looking for someone to lead the transition to a modern, automation-first approach.
Playwright is central to that journey.
This isn't about starting from scratch, it's about building on strong foundations. You'll define the automation strategy, implement Playwright across the business, improve test coverage, and help shape how quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
