Software Solutions Architect

This is a full-time role for a Software Solutions Architect at Muraai Information Technologies Limited. The Software Solutions Architect will be responsible for software architecture, development, solution architecture, integration, and databases. While the role is primarily located in West Midlands, there is flexibility for remote working.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Solutions Architect to lead enterprise solution architecture, pre-sales engagements, and regional technical delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead technical authority for OpenText solutions, owning architecture, solution governance, and delivery assurance across Intelligent Capture, Extended ECM, Content Suite, Process Automation, AppWorks, Magellan, and the SIMS platform.
  • Lead architecture and solution design for enterprise Enterprise Information Management (EIM), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Accounts Payable (AP) Automation, and Digital Transformation programs.
  • Engage with senior customer stakeholders to understand business challenges and design scalable enterprise solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Work closely with OpenText Account Executives, partners, and executive leadership to provide technical pre-sales support, shape solution strategies, and convert opportunities into successful engagements.
  • Produce high-level solution architecture, technical designs, proof-of-concepts (POCs), architecture roadmaps, and implementation strategies.
  • Establish and govern enterprise architecture standards, ensuring solution quality, scalability, security, compliance, and best practices throughout project delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle including architecture reviews, design governance, implementation support, and technical assurance.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of consultants, developers, and technical specialists across multiple customer engagements.
  • Perform architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture principles and quality standards.
  • Provide expertise in Information Governance, Enterprise Content Management, GDPR compliance, Intelligent Document Processing, and Business Process Automation.
  • Design and integrate enterprise applications using REST and SOAP APIs, cloud technologies, and modern integration frameworks.
  • Support customer production environments, ensuring solution stability, performance optimization, and First Time Through (FTT) delivery.
  • Coordinate internal and customer architecture workshops, project meetings, and technical governance reviews.
  • Develop trusted relationships with customers, OpenText, and strategic partners while supporting regional business growth.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing customer engagements through additional projects and solution enhancements.
  • Contribute to the growth of the UK & Europe practice by mentoring consultants, supporting recruitment, and developing technical capability.
  • Progressively assume responsibility for regional revenue growth, customer success, and commercial performance, with the opportunity to take ownership of the regional business and P&L over time.
  • Support Customer Production sites to enable FTT (First Time Through)

  • University degree (or equivalent qualification) in engineering or computer science, Information Technology (IT), physical sciences or mathematics or related technical subject & Masters Degree in IT will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in Software Architectural skills, various versions of OpenText Process Suite Business Operation Platform 4.0 till 16.1.
  • Preferable experience in BPM products such as Open Text Process Suite /Tibco/Pega/Savion/Oracle Fusion/JBPM.
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Business Process Management (BPM), Intelligent Automation, and Information Governance.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, SQL Server, PL/SQL, XML, XPATH, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and enterprise integration technologies.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong technical background and good interpersonal and strong communication skills.
  • Good commercial acumen and business awareness.
  • Attention to detail; ability to anticipate risks and mitigate appropriately.

Salary Package

  • £49,500 - £56,000 per annum with benefits.
