Job Description

Job Summary

Are you an enthusiastic software leader who can inspire and lead others to develop applications to support CRFS range of world class RF solutions? Our applications deliver both an enhanced user experience but also the complex processing required to present a significant amount of RF information to an operator. You will be able to consider and balance the needs of the team whilst supporting the business commitment, able to challenge where required and provide commitments the team can keep. This is a great opportunity to get involved with both the core aspects of software development but also engage with architectural discussions and work with the community to deliver a high-quality user experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product management and other teams to define and estimate solutions that can be committed to
  • Architect and Design solutions that are performant, extensible and maintainable
  • Lead the team to deliver the commitments whilst maintaining the levels of quality
  • Help coach, mentor, grow and develop your team
  • Get stuck into the development activities
  • Report progress, risks, challenges etc to the wider business
  • Solve technical challenges problems by applying prior experience and analysis of system requirements.
  • Drive local adjustments or enhancements to software systems, tools, and development processes.
  • Implement test automation, including unit, regression, and performance tests, to ensure high software quality.
  • Participate in peer code and AI reviews, applying quality standards and providing constructive feedback.
  • Communicate clear technical information to departmental team members to reach agreement on tasks and implementation details.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to entry-level professionals or support staff as needed.

Basic Requirements

Experience and Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience guiding or assisting your team
  • Development in C# and .NET
  • Solid grasp of architectural and design principles
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on commitments
  • Good problem-solving ability with strong attention to software detail.
  • Clear communication skills with experience explaining technical facts and practices to internal team members.

Desirable

  • Experience using AI development tools to accelerate workflow while maintaining code quality.
  • Basic understanding or background in signal processing principles.
  • Development in Rust and MAUI
  • Development of 3rd party integrations and distributed system of systems
