About the Role
As a Software Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. You will work closely with software developers, business analysts, and other technical team members throughout the software development lifecycle, helping to identify defects, improve testing processes, and support the delivery of high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and system tests.
- Analyse test results and identify, document, and track software defects.
- Work closely with developers to investigate and resolve testing issues.
- Develop and maintain automated testing processes as part of CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform API and application testing where required.
- Contribute to test planning, test strategy, and quality assurance activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve test coverage and testing efficiency.
- Maintain clear and accurate test documentation and reports.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities and sprint planning.
- Ensure software releases meet defined quality and performance standards.

Skills & Experience
The successful candidate should have:
- Experience in software testing and test automation.
- Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies.
- Experience developing automated test scripts using appropriate testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Understanding of CI/CD and automated testing within development pipelines.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with developers and wider technical teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to software quality.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
