Safety-Critical Verification Engineer
Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: Up to £60,000
Working pattern: Hybrid – 3 days on-site
Type: Permanent
An innovative technology business developing safety and assurance solutions for next-generation autonomous systems is expanding its engineering team and is looking for a Safety-Critical Verification Engineer.
You'll work on complex projects across autonomous aviation, embedded systems and safety-critical software, helping to verify technology for highly regulated environments.
The Role
- Define and execute verification strategies for safety-critical embedded software and systems.
- Develop test frameworks, verification plans and certification evidence.
- Perform requirements-based verification and validation.
- Support verification activities aligned with DO-178C.
- Conduct integration, system and qualification testing.
- Apply techniques including automated testing, fault injection, fuzz testing and Monte Carlo simulation.
- Maintain requirements, test and certification traceability.
- Work closely with software and systems engineers to meet safety objectives.

About You
We're looking for a hands-on verification engineer with strong embedded systems experience. You'll need to be comfortable working through complex technical problems and clearly explaining your approach, processes and reasoning.

You'll have experience with:
- Safety-critical verification and validation.
- Embedded and real-time software.
- Requirements-based testing and traceability.
- Verification planning and test execution.
- Certification or compliance evidence.
- Working within a regulated engineering environment.
Security: Candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
