Software Verification Engineer

Expleo is seeking a Software Verification Engineer to support a major DAL D to DAL A software assurance uplift programme. The role is responsible for executing requirements-based verification activities, supporting independent review processes and generating the formal verification evidence required to achieve DAL A compliance.

Working under the direction of the Verification and VectorCAST Lead, the successful candidate will develop and review test objectives and test cases, support VectorCAST execution, perform dry-run and formal test activities, record verification evidence and contribute towards structural coverage and MC/DC closure.

This role is a key part of maintaining verification independence across the programme and will work closely with requirements, software design, certification and quality assurance teams. The RFQ specifically requires independent reviews, requirements-based testing, formal execution, MC/DC evidence capture and verification checklist completion.

This role is based full-time on-site, working directly alongside customer engineering and assurance teams throughout programme execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain test objectives, test cases and verification procedures.
  • Perform requirements-based software verification activities.
  • Execute dry-run and formal verification activities.
  • Review verification artefacts in accordance with independence requirements.
  • Record verification results and maintain evidence packages.
  • Support VectorCAST test execution and coverage collection activities.
  • Assist with MC/DC coverage assessment and closure.
  • Perform formal checklist reviews and compliance assessments.
  • Maintain requirements-to-test traceability evidence.
  • Support investigation and triage of verification findings.
  • Contribute to Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development and maintenance.
  • Support hardware-based verification activities using evaluation boards and customer equipment.
  • Assist the Verification Lead with readiness reviews and evidence closure activities.
  • Ensure all verification artefacts are maintained under configuration control.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
