Role Description
Software/Data Engineer – Data Platforms (Asset & Wealth Management)
Location: London, UK
Employment Type: Fixed-Term Employment
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a talented Software/Data Engineer to join our Data Platforms team and help build, modernise, and support a strategic enterprise data platform within the Asset & Wealth Management sector.
This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong Data Engineering experience across Snowflake, Azure, Python, dbt, and CI/CD, who enjoys delivering scalable data solutions and working with modern cloud and AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimise data pipelines, transformations, and data models using Snowflake, SQL, Python, and dbt
- Develop and support cloud-based data solutions within Azure
- Manage source control, deployments, and CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps or GitHub
- Build automation and integration services using Python
- Support production environments, troubleshoot issues, and improve platform reliability
- Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and engineers to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions
- Utilise AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and delivery quality

What You Will Bring
- Strong experience in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT, SQL, Snowflake, and Python
- Experience building and maintaining dbt models and data pipelines
- Solid understanding of dimensional data modelling (Kimball methodology)
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments
- Experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub for source control and release management
- Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, testing, and code quality standards
- Asset & Wealth Management or Investment Management domain experience is essential
