About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Solar Electrician to join our growing team, delivering Solar PV and renewable energy installations across Manchester and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' Solar PV installation experience, hold a CSCS Gold Card, and have experience working on both domestic and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, commission, and maintain Solar PV systems on domestic and commercial properties.
  • Carry out electrical installations associated with Solar PV and battery storage systems.
  • Perform fault-finding, diagnostics, maintenance, and remedial works on electrical and solar installations.
  • Complete consumer unit upgrades and associated electrical works where required.
  • Undertake testing and inspection in accordance with current regulations.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with BS7671 and industry standards.
  • Accurately complete commissioning records, certification, and installation documentation.
  • Work professionally within occupied domestic properties and commercial environments.
  • Liaise effectively with customers, site managers, and project teams.
  • Support project delivery to ensure installations are completed on time and to the highest standards.
  • Travel to sites across Manchester and surrounding areas as required.

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
  • CSCS Gold Card (Essential).
  • Minimum 2 years' Solar PV installation experience.
  • Experience working on domestic and commercial projects.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety.

Desirable Requirements

  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
  • Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems.
