About Sunlife Solar UK
Sunlife Solar UK is a growing renewable energy company specialising in the installation of solar PV, battery storage and energy solutions for residential and commercial customers. We are expanding our installation team and are looking for an experienced Solar Electrician to join us on a full-time basis.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out solar PV and battery storage installations from start to finish, including electrical installation, testing, commissioning and certification. You will be expected to work independently, take ownership of your installations and maintain a consistently high standard of workmanship.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing solar PV and battery storage systems
- AC and DC electrical installation
- Installing and configuring inverters and battery systems
- Testing, commissioning and fault finding
- Completing all required electrical testing and certification
- Ensuring installations comply with BS 7671 and current regulations
- Completing installation paperwork and handover documentation
- Working professionally in customers' homes and commercial properties
- Liaising with the Sunlife Solar UK office and installation team
- Maintaining a high standard of health, safety and customer service

Essential Requirements
The successful candidate must have:
- Fully qualified electrician status (if not NAPIT or NIC/EIC) is acceptable we will assist in putting you through the relevant course.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Proven experience installing solar PV and battery storage
- Relevant solar PV and battery storage qualifications
- Appropriate competent-person accreditation/registration to test, certify and sign off your own electrical work
- Experience with electrical testing and certification
- Strong knowledge of BS 7671 and current electrical regulations
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage installations from start to finish
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Experience with Sigenergy, AIKO and other leading solar and battery technologies would be highly advantageous.
