Electrical Supervisor / Utility-Scale Solar PV Electrician (Solar & BESS)
Location: UK-wide (Company Van Provided)
Salary: Up to 42k for Electrical Supervisor- Electrician negotiable.
The Opportunity
We are seeking two experienced Electrical Supervisors / Solar PV Electricians to join a growing renewable energy business delivering utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects across the UK.
This is a fully mobile role involving installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, and fault-finding activities on large-scale renewable energy sites. You'll work alongside a highly experienced team, supporting the delivery and ongoing performance of major solar and energy storage assets nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and carry out installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance works on Solar PV and BESS projects.
- Install, terminate, and test AC and DC cabling systems.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, fault finding, and remedial works.
- Support LV/MV cable installation, jointing, and terminations.
- Assist with switchgear, control panel, inverter, transformer, and SCADA installations.
- Conduct testing activities including continuity, insulation resistance, and earth testing.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and cable schedules.
- Complete site reports and maintain accurate records of work completed.
- Ensure all activities comply with company and site HSE requirements.
- Communicate findings and site observations to management teams.

Requirements
- Proven experience working on utility-scale Solar PV projects.
- Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home when required.
- Full UK driving licence.
- ECS/CSCS Card.
- Experience with AC/DC LV and MV cable installation and termination.
- Knowledge of solar and electrical infrastructure including inverters, transformers, distribution systems, and combiner boxes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Strong health and safety awareness.
- Competent with Microsoft Office and electronic reporting systems.
- Experience working on construction or infrastructure sites.
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.

- Gold ECS Card.
- SSSTS.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- HV knowledge up to 33kV.
- LV/HV jointing experience.
- Additional testing qualifications or MV authorisations.
- Working at Height certification.
- IPAF.
