Solar Installation Electrician

£40,000 to £45,000 a year plus overtime | Company van | Full time, permanent
We’re S.Electrix, a renewables company based in Yorkshire. We install solar PV, battery storage and EV chargers for homes and businesses. The solar side of the business is growing fast. We’re looking for an experienced solar installation electrician to join the install team.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll install and commission solar PV, battery storage and EV chargers at homes and commercial sites across Yorkshire, all to MCS standard. Day to day, that means:
- Installing solar PV, battery storage and EV charging systems, including consumer unit upgrades where needed
- Testing, commissioning and fault-finding on every system before you leave site
- Working alongside our roofing and scaffold teams to keep each job on track
- Troubleshooting any electrical issues that come up on site and putting them right
- Using hand and power tools safely and to a high standard, and following all relevant safety regulations at all times
- Keeping accurate job records, and completing certificates and handover paperwork for every install
- Hours are 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

What we’re looking for
You’ll need:
- Gold ECS or JIB Gold Card
- Proven solar PV installation experience
- EV Charger installation experience (beneficial)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent (City & Guilds Level 3
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- 2391 Testing & Inspection and battery storage experience are both a plus, but not essential.
